What is known about this ship

HMS Columbine is documented as one physical Flower-class hull. Later transfers or renamings, where present, are attached as service identities rather than duplicate ships.

Class context: Flower class corvette

The Flower class was the mass-production corvette that carried a disproportionate share of early Allied convoy-escort and anti-submarine work during the Battle of the Atlantic. Its commercial-vessel ancestry allowed rapid construction in smaller yards that could not build destroyers or larger escorts.

This ship is recorded as a member of Flower class corvette. Shared design history belongs on the class page; this page concentrates on the individual hull where evidence is available.
